Outstanding Lawyer of the Year Award
July 2000
Mitchell H. Tyner, Sr. was
presented the "F. Scott Baldwin" Outstanding Lawyer
of the Year at the Annual Meeting of the Association of Trial
Lawyers of America (ATLA) in Chicago, Illinois. Tyner is a
resident of Madison, Mississippi where he lives with his wife
Sloane and their two children. He is licensed to practice
law in Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas and Washington, D.C.,
but has chosen to stay in Mississippi where he and his wife
Sloane are raising their family. He practices with Tyner Law Firm, P.A. which he
formed in 1995.

| Tyner
was presented the award for his outstanding service in protecting
consumer rights. Tyner believes in the free enterprise
system, but believes that individual rights are more important
than corporate rights. Family safety is and should
always be more important than corporate profits. When accepting the award, Tyner
said; "It is an honor to accept this award, and I want to acknowledge
the help and support of fellow lawyers who have worked
with me to protect individual rights. Most importantly I'd like
to thank my wife Sloane who has supported me through the long
hours of work and helped to provide a loving home for our
children and me, which is the foundation that leads to success
in representing the right causes. This award
really belongs to you, I love you."

from Brandon to Jackson, Mississippi. Tyner Law Firm's main
office is now located on I-55 North in Jackson. |

The award was presented by F. Scott Baldwin who is a well
respected and world renowned Lawyer from Marshall Texas.
Mr. Baldwin served as President of the Texas Trial Lawyers
Association 25 years ago and President of ATLA 15 years ago.
He has been practicing law almost 40 years. Baldwin said,
"I've watched Mitch for many years, and am proud of his efforts
to protect consumer rights not only in Mississippi, but in
every state in the Country."
